ILIA Beauty Review: Skin Tint, Foundation, Multi-Stick, and Mascara

ILIA is worth considering when its specific coverage and application style fit your routine. Start with Super Serum Skin Tint for a dewy tint, True Skin Serum Foundation for medium coverage, Multi-Stick for cheeks and lips, or Limitless Lash for a separating mascara with warm-water removal. A “clean” label alone is not a reason to pay a premium.

Super Serum Skin Tint SPF 40: choose it for a dewy tint

ILIA describes this product as light-to-medium coverage, with 30 shades and a dewy finish. The current U.S. page lists zinc oxide as the sunscreen active and includes squalane, niacinamide, hyaluronic-acid ingredients and allantoin. The directions call for shaking the bottle before application. Choose by both shade depth and undertone, allow the color to settle, and assess the finish with the amount you intend to wear.

True Skin Serum Foundation: choose it for more coverage

The current True Skin formula is a medium-coverage foundation with a natural finish. ILIA lists niacinamide and allantoin, describes it as formulated without fragrance, and identifies it as vegan. The brand advises shaking, dispensing one or two pumps, blending and building another thin layer where needed. It suggests powder if you want a softer matte finish. Those are useful application directions, not evidence that every wearer will get the same result.

Best fit: The tint is too sheer and you want a pump-bottle foundation with medium coverage. Multi-Stick: practical color for cheeks and lips

Best fit: You value separation, a comb-style wand and simple removal. Main tradeoff: Warm-water removal is not a waterproof claim, and the beeswax rules it out for someone avoiding animal-derived ingredients. Judge value one product at a time

The most economical starting purchase is the one that solves an unmet need. If you already have a suitable sunscreen, moisturizer and serum, buying a tint does not automatically save the cost of all three. Similarly, a lip-and-cheek stick only reduces the number of products you buy if its shade and finish work in both places.
