Visiting the site

Our web server records requests needed to operate and troubleshoot the website. These logs can include IP addresses, the pages requested, timestamps, browser information and referring pages. An IP address may identify a person or household; these records are not described as anonymous.

Preferences stored in your browser

The site uses local storage to remember your light or dark theme and whether an affiliate promotion was dismissed. The language selector uses a translation preference cookie. You can clear this information using your browser's site-data settings.

External services

The language selector uses Google Translate. Pages with embedded videos connect to YouTube's privacy-enhanced embed service. These providers receive connection information when their resources load and apply their own privacy policies. See Google's Privacy Policy.

Affiliate links and retailers

When you follow an affiliate link, the network or retailer may use tracking parameters and cookies to attribute a purchase. We may receive referral and commission reporting. Retailers handle checkout and payment information. See our affiliate disclosure and the retailer's privacy policy.
